General Policy
It
is the policy of the International Organization for Secure Commerce (IOSC)
to respect and protect the privacy of its members and clients. Details
concerning membership, audits, consulting arrangements and other business
transactions are held in confidence. The
IOSC will never voluntarily disclose information about members or clients
to third parties without express consent of the affected parties. Should
information be unintentionally disclosed the affected parties will be
notified as soon as is practical.
Financial Transactions
The IOSC does not disclose details of individual financial transactions
to third parties. Any information collected from members or clients
for billing purposes is used only for the authorized transaction. No
record of credit card or other account numbers is maintained external
to the authorized transaction.
The
IOSC uses a third party merchant service for processing web-based credit
card, e-check and back transfer transactions. The merchant service
follows industry standard security and fraud prevention practices. Credit
card and bank account details are not provided to the IOSC by the merchant
services company.
Confirmation of Membership
Members will be listed in the public membership database only
if they specifically agree to the listing. Members may be removed
from the membership listing by submitting a written or emailed request
to the IOSC.
Confirmation of
Certification
Members or organizations certified by the IOSC may choose to be listed
in the public certification database. Only those members and organizations
which have specifically agreed to be listed will be included. Certified
members and organizations may be removed from the certification database
by submitting a written or emailed request to the IOSC.
Certification
confirmations for individuals, facilities or organizations will be
released only after receipt of a completed Confirmation Release Form
from the certified party specifically authorizing the release of certification
details.
IOSC Business Operations
Information pertaining
to the general business operations of the IOSC is available for inspection
upon request. This does not include any information protected
from disclosure by law, pending litigation, contractual obligation
or the balance of this privacy statement. Please contact the
